WoW, Unreal Tournament, Need for Speed...eh....That's all I've played on the Macbook. The integrated graphics pretty much suck to high heaven, so game playing won't be pretty. Solitaire graphics do kicks ass when you are on a 12 hour shift though :p

I spilled coffee on my 15" 1.5Ghz powerbook and ruined the display, the keyboard, and possibly my ram (showing intermittently as 512 + 256 and sometimes 256 + 256 when it's really 512 + 512). I am stripping it and using it as a jukebox in a retro stereo receiver, and hooking up a 7-10" touch screen lcd for control.

My questions are:

-How do I force the computer to think that it's always in clamshell mode on boot?

-How do I test the ram problem without buying more ram?

-Can I disconnect the backup battery if all I'm going to do is use the computer for front row and itunes? (I lost the little cable that ocnnectes it to logic board)

My Mom's G3 iMac (running 10.3.9) keeps on either freezing up, going into deep unwakable sleep or kernal panicking. I ran Disk Utilities and it told me that everything is A-OK. I repaired permissions and all that jazz as well. I think that the PRAM battery is out, however, b/c I keep on getting the 'Your Computer's clock is set before..." message at each startup. Would this cause the above stated problems? Thanks in advance.

I had a problem like this before. A lot of it actually installs and you can move it simply, remove Kazaa and look through Add/Remove programs and see if you see any junk in there.

Sometimes there in there. If that doesn't work... *gets XP disks*

The mac server I use remotely recently had a change in user name and password. I am trying to connect with the new password, and it won't even prompt me for username and password. It just tells me I can't connect. It is not in my Keychain or anywhere else. How do I fix this? Help!:confused:

I think Apple would disappoint a lot of music lovers and more 'serious' listeners if they discontinued the Classic. There is no other iPod/iPhone with that kind of storage capacity.

I am running 10.2 server, and want to have an app lauch during startup. Is there a way I can have an app launch but no one logged in? I need to have a program for my dynamic dns (no-ip.com), but I don't want to leave the server logged into a user.

I just imported my itunes library on my iMac into my new MB Air all the music is there but the playlists are not....what a pain

A *single* current Power4 probably costs more than any single Mac product and generates more heat than even Apple's new mega heatsink could be expected to deal with. 16 would be in a case with wheels and a 6-figure price tag.

The whole idea of the Power4-lite is to do away with all the fancy many-many-chip features to make it cheaper.

Interesting to note that Apple said "4-6 weeks" the day the 1.25 was announed, and this is 2 or 3 weeks later. Hmmm, still 4-6 weeks. I originally thought about getting one, but I have since given up and will wait till the next revision which may very well include a Power4-lite option, but we won't have much idea about that until October 15th.
