Hey guys,
i was upgrading from SL to Lion DP2, but when i open System Preferences in Lion i still have Expose there!and even Dashboard icon in dock...did someone have this too?Or is there some problem?:D
Thx for help!
Are you perhaps mistaking the launchpad icon for the dashboard icon? Expose should still be in system preferences.

So, in the search-a-sketch App;
When they include other biasness, if you circle a small area in, say NY city, 200+ listing will pop up, which you then need to sift though, or youll restrict the search to begin with.
Seems more like a gimmick than really a useful concept.
Agreed. Google maps does the same thing, but not restricted to restaurants. Just go to your location, then search for something. Food, car repair, whatever. It'll pop up stuff in your area. I guess maybe you want to know about another area then go to that area of the map or enter a zip code with your search, or a city name, etc. NEVER had a need to draw a region. Kind of limiting anyway.

I'm with you Sky Blue.....CHRONO TRIGGER is by far the best RPG ever made IMO. With FF2 and FF3 (in North America) being a distant 2nd place. Mario RPG personally did nothing for me... and dont get me started about Chrono Cross..
I still get goosebumps when i listen to my Chrono Trigger soundtrack. Oh man.. the sweet sweet memories... that game truly touched me in such a deep and profound way that no game will ever fill the void left upon finishing it. haha..

I have the same issue. New 2010 Mac Mini.
When it wakes up from sleep the cursor is missing.
I I hit Apple/Tab key a few times it comes back.
It's pretty dependable. This happens about 90% of my wake ups.

Actually, just to come back and answer my own question:
It was because I didn't have the Alternate set under Image. After about an hour, simply setting this to the same setting as immediately above (in the first screenshot), fixed the problem.

We are talking about a file server on a local network. It's only data transfer bottleneck would be the ethernet connection. The iBooks stock HD could easily keep up with gigabit ethernet.
Don't understand what your "very very slow" statement is based on.
That iBook does not have gigabit ethernet. No iBook has gigabit ethernet. 100mbit is not very fast. We're talking realistically 8-10MB/s, maximum on a 100mbit is 12.5 which you'll never hit.

Wow, I feel like the most naive person around. I got to the store at 7:45am, and I couldn't believe there were about 30-40 people queuing up. By the time 5 people got served, O2 told us they were down to 4 16GB iPhones. I was so far back in the line that I just left. Will now have to explore other ways of getting my iPhone and I'm mentally preparing myself to wait a few more weeks. Darn.

Hi all
The new iTunes update is out and it supports the new iOS 4.3. But is safe to update if you have an iPod which has been jailbroken with jailbreakme?
Thanks!

Exactly.
You still feel bad Abstract?
Yes. Wow, that backfired for you, didn't it?
Dude, I don't know about everyone else here, but I'm not hooked on Mac stuff, especially the iPhone. In fact, I can get any Mac laptop, iPad, or iPhone for 30% off, and even then I haven't bothered with them.
I'll drop iPhones just for you, if that makes you feel better.

The combination of black and blue (image 3) is really good. But I think you can change font style for mobile & email. This one is little hard to read and looks a bit casual too.
But I really dont like that last one (green). Looks very gaudy!

They were funny, albeit pretentious when they first started. However in my opinion were annoying towards the end. I guess the Apple PR people thought they should move on.

Ok, so right now I have an iMac with a 320gb internal drive and a 1tb USB external that I use for both media storage and Time Machine. (it's in 2 partitions)
I just bought an 2x1tb RAID setup and I'm not really sure how I should set it up (0, 1, or individual discs).
Right now I'm kind of leaning towards keeping my 1tb usb external for Time Machine (in 1 1tb partition), and using the RAID external as a RAID 1 (mirroring) of the 2 1tb discs so I have live backups of all my media (ripped TV shows/movies, music, photos, etc) in case of any disc failure.
Any other suggestions?

Eeek that takes hours between formating and applying all the updates. Not to mention restoring your files and stuff like that.
I generally try to keep my format & reinstalls (the windows dance) down to every 6 months but I've done 4 over the past 2 weeks.

You may (and I've never tested this) be able to choose the remote install server from the Startup Disk pane in System Preferences.

Hey guys, check out this link I found on Newsfactor:
Sony To Launch Multiformat DVD Drive (http://www.newsfactor.com/perl/story/19159.html
)
Sony will introduce a DVD drive for personal computers that supports both competing formats, DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW. The move represents a marked departure for the electronics company, which, one year ago, announced that it had no plans to support the DVD-R/RW format for computer products.
Could this be steps taken to end this DVD+\- format war?
